Reduce capture to the minimum
Many moments worth keeping do not need a long journal entry. If a tool demands many choices first, the interaction can interrupt the act of recording.
Moment currently keeps only the basic action: write a sentence and save it. Time is recorded automatically, optional details can be added later, and there is no streak requirement.
Review must return to the original text
As notes accumulate, the first task is to find the original text by time or simple search rather than rush to summarize it into conclusions.
The current view shows only original notes and necessary time information. No organization can replace the source text, and automated judgement is not assumed in the public concept.
Data stays on the user's device by default
Using a tool should not make personal notes leave the device by default. If implemented, original text will use local storage with clear export and deletion controls.
The current scope covers only the basic operations needed for local notes. Data location and the result of each action must be clear before deciding whether to continue.
- Entries remain local by default, and users can see where they are stored.
- Provide complete export and explicit deletion without locking content into a closed format.
- Search and review always point to the original content rather than replacing it with additional conclusions.
- Demonstrations and tests use fictional examples only and do not import private content.
Complete one minimum flow in the near term
The near-term task uses fictional examples to connect capture, timeline review, search, export, and deletion, checking whether the interface and data path are clear without importing private content.
The public route stops here for now. Whether to develop it, which technology to use, and what capabilities to add will depend on this validation rather than being promised in advance.
