School and village coordination, family interviews
Completed · July 15–17
Project route
From July 15 to 31, 2026, three participants carried out 17 days of children's activities and field research in Jiangdian Township, Wuyang County, followed by interviews, feedback, and a project review.

Field notes
After the fieldwork, the research and activity records were organized into presentation slides and a recorded talk. The video recounts the process, though its pacing and coordination of visuals and narration need improvement. We keep both the result and that honest assessment.
Next: The project is closed; the briefs, report, and presentation materials remain for reference.
The team shared research and activity findings with teachers, village staff, and guardian representatives, then closed with a photo review, safety recap, children's work, sharing, and certificates.
Next: Check the source materials and prepare the report and presentation.
Interviews, discussions, photos, and children's work were checked against the timeline. The three participants divided the report writing and discussed age-appropriate reading, safety materials, and realistic follow-up with teachers and village staff. The result included 15 practice briefs and a research report, without generalizing limited interviews to the whole area.
Next: Share results and hold the closing event.
Teachers at Liansi Primary School discussed children's learning, social interaction, emotions, and safety. A later conversation with village women's federation staff checked local resources and existing contacts, avoiding conclusions based only on short-term classroom observations.
Next: Cross-check family, school, and village records.
Mood cards, picture books, wish cards, and one-to-one conversation offered quieter children ways to express themselves. Simple science demonstrations, themed drawings, a three-meter collaborative painting, and rule-based games followed. Seeing the interest in hands-on work, the team added more observation and sharing.
Next: Organize the children's work and observations, then add interviews.
Image-based choices and everyday scenarios covered fire and water safety. Picture-book reading, role-play, school drawings, and crafts provided varied ways to participate. The language and pace were adapted for children around ages five to six, emphasizing help-seeking, rules, and boundaries.
Next: Adjust expression, science, and art activities to the response on site.
The team first discussed space and safety with the village committee and Liansi Primary School, then conducted family interviews and observed participation with local support. The information covered care arrangements, learning support, family communication, and summer safety, informing the reading, safety, science, and art activities.
Next: Begin themed classes and children's activities.
